of an organization seeking to do the right things first, refining them at a later time. Summarize key diversity challenges facing the Bestfoods company as a multinational headquarters with worldwide
subsidiaries? The notion of diversity and that of it being worth anyones attention is primarily an American attitude, likely arising from the
fact that except for the Native Americans who were here before anyone else, essentially the nation is a collection of immigrants. Some have been here much longer than others,
but nearly all of us have heritage from outside the country. This is not the case in most nations of the world, where homogeneity is much more common than
difference. What actions have been key to making the diversity initiative a success so far? Briefly list the steps taken by the company and the impact that each had on
diversity and/or the overall organizational climate. Without question, it has been the support of highest management that has provided the environment in
which Bestfood could have the diversity-related success it has. The CEO has made increasing diversity a top priority and has required the senior vice president of human resources to
regard it as such. These two have been instrumental in creating Laura Brodys position and then filling it with someone outspoken and dedicated to the advancement of diversity. Do
