Most people in the United States may associate Hispanics with Mexican Americans, especially in light of the struggles concerning illegal immigration today. Mexican Americans
are perhaps the most numerous, and most widely spread out, of the Hispanic groups. They are likely the most diverse within themselves as well. As one author notes, "The Mexican
American culture shows many influences of other nations. Particularly the Spanish influences are quite strong. The American culture has also crept in them to some extent, so have the religious
