is not a bad idea, but women who have their degrees prior to motherhood do not have to face the challenges of going to school while tending to children. Although
the dilemma of motherhood versus career has been with women always, things have changed in recent time. Distance learning has made it easier for stay at home mothers to earn
their degrees. This way, when the children are a little older, these mothers will have created a new career path or simply will have accomplished the goal of getting a
higher education. A students thesis is: Studying online brings stay-at-home-mothers back to the university. It does seem to be true that many women would not purse goals of higher education
and new careers because of the time it would take. Raising children is a full time job, but many mothers find that when the babies are napping, or the children
are in school, there is time to pursue other things. If a family can afford a housekeeper, or at least indulge in paid housekeeping or childcare services on occasion, a
stay at home mother can easily carve out some time to pursue her educational goals. In general, online learning has become an alternative for many students. It has advantages for
those who work full time jobs or even for young adults who do not want to live away from home. Distance learning has become popular of late. Distance learning allows
students to attend universities that would otherwise provide logistical challenges. Bork (1997) claims that this type of learning can provide a good education to a great number of students at
