that gives much lip service to the rights of man. While the subject of discriminatory practices has come up time and time again, and has affected the law, the fact
that such things have been legislated does not mean that discrimination has come to a halt. One area of discrimination is in fact very subtle. In society, it is quite
noticeable that while there are no black and white water fountains, and rest rooms are for all races, inequality still exists in terms of color or race. An example is
the Dennys debacles where it had been alleged that people of color would get slower service than their white customers, and this did not happen just once or in one
particular restaurant. Although difficult to prove, the reputation of Dennys loomed over America and there was a backlash against the restaurant chain. Similarly, in towns across America there is a
subtle racism. Some suggest that black people are followed more in department stores, that "driving while black" is apparently a crime, and it just so happens that more black
than white young criminals are shot in police actions. It is often the case that the officers in such fiascos are white, and while in many cases there were legitimate
reasons for the shootings, it seems to be an underlying racism that dubs the quick actions to be discriminatory. There is also discrimination against average white men today. To some
extant, it is the typical white man who is not applauded and finds it difficult to break into any creative environment. It seems that in this day and age, one
