In some ways it is more difficult for employees to be able to tell if they are treated fairly or whether or not discrimination exists. After all, it would be
easy to see if discrimination existed when there is a physical location. This is because people can look around. They know who they are working with. In the virtual organization,
there is a great deal of opportunity for discrimination. This is because many times, employees do not know who their co-workers are. Many virtual organizations are small businesses because big
businesses usually have large headquarters. At least, that is true as a general rule. It does seem as if employment in some of these small businesses where one can work
at home is kept secret. Many businesses put up a web site and want the people to think that when they call in they will get live operators and that
there are people sitting and waiting for ones call. Hence, it is not easy to get credible information about virtual businesses and who they employ, and whether or not discrimination
is apparent. However, one industry that tends to see virtual businesses is the newly arising e-therapy industry. Today, people are using online therapists in lieu of face to face
talk therapy. This is done for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is related to time, or a person may just prefer communicating by email in discussing their problems. This
