to Denmark, I have recognized some limitations in my skills needed in my roll in these countries. I realized that I was limited, not in my natural abilities, but
in my capacity for applying research and theories of international diplomacy to my practical involvement. I believe that I could have a more effective role if I had the
necessary education and background to support my actions in international diplomacy. My education and background have prepared me for employment and leadership in the field of international diplomacy.
After graduation from the Kaduna Polytechnic in Kaduna, Nigeria, in 1986, I became a lecturer at the same school, where I worked for more than a decade. In 1999,
I took a job with the international Agency for Rural and Housing Development in Burkina-Faso, and then worked as solidarity workers in Ruanda for Humana People of Denmark. These
jobs gave me insight into the complex issues involved in international diplomacy and subsequently for integrating strategies and theories applied to the field of international diplomacy. In 2001,
my work as a solidarity worker in Ruanda resulted in my first true accomplishment in international diplomacy, the successful mediation between two villages (Nwiame and Agame), who were in the
throes of a bitter battle over control of the only water bore hole along their common border. The conflict led to the capture of two Nwiame women by youths
from Agame, and my actions led to the release of the women, as well as a successful negotiation of the use of the bore hole. In 2007, I joined the
Coalition for Biafra Diplomacy Abroad and worked to mediate an interfaith conflict in the Sabon Gari Kano between Muslim and Christian factions. I never successful completed the negotiation process
