created centuries ago. At the time, there was an excitement in the air and the American Enlightenment was in full swing. It seems that the shift in thinking was what
propelled the war to its final disposition and what prompted Americans to create their country in the manner that they did . The author takes a philosophical approach to
the war and the time period and not an economic or practical one. There is no attention to detail in terms of how things were effected, but rather, the investigation
goes to why. One may glean, from reading this book, that America was propelled by spirit in its initial stages. Many philosophers today suggest that if one can envision something,
