action film. "Die Hard" and "Passenger 57" are two films that fit within this genre. Passenger 57, however, is, according to many, nothing but a Die Hard on a plane
for it follows the same plot to an extent and possesses a somewhat unwilling hero. In the following paper we present an examination of the two films and then a
comparison, illustrating that the two are incredibly similar in areas which put the films in the genre of siege. Die Hard Die Hard involves a man, a policeman,
who is visiting his wife and child in California for Christmas. He is a cop in New York and is on vacation. His wife works in a large office building,
a sky scraper to some extent, where he meets her. He is cleaning up in her office bathroom after his plane trip and waiting for her to finish with her
party. While he is doing this the office party is essentially kidnapped. He hears the commotion and keeps silent in her office, barely escaping the search for stragglers form
the party. Being the good cop that he is he decides to try to find a way to stop the terrorists and find a way to get help. He gets
a message out to a security guard type cop, an overweight individual who does not wish to be actively involved in criminal activity anymore, doing his rounds, in a manner
of speaking. This one cop is the only one convinced that Bruce Willis character is not one of the bad guys. He helps, as much as he can, from the
