a problem since perhaps the beginning of time. Drugs can be addictive and can lead to seriously deviant behavior and as such it can be a serious concern. There are
those individuals who use drugs on occasion and these individuals are not necessarily involved in any truly deviant behavior. But, for the most part drug use is considered a deviant
behavior namely because it is illegal. The following paper answers questions presented by the student requesting this paper as it relates to the deviant behavior of drug use.
Drug Use A. Are the negative consequences for society obvious? The answer to this question is yes, when we think of truly deviant behavior related to drug use. For example,
those individuals who are addicted to crack or heroin are individuals who will more often than not neglect their families and their economic responsibilities. They are not functioning individuals, in
the workforce or in the family society of the nation. They need help and B. What are these negative consequences ? They may engage in robbery or theft to
support their habit, and they are individuals who are endangering the lives of others by driving and living recklessly. They put a burden on society because they harm their families,
who may then need assistance from the government. They put a burden on society if they steal and harm others in an attempt to get their fix. They also support
a black market system that is harmful to the society as a whole, costing the taxpayers perhaps many millions in fighting the crimes. C. Explain the theoretical approaches that might
