cultivating a powerful organizational culture, and so on. This paper adopts the stance that no one model of leadership offers a normative solution to all organizational contexts. As such, it
argues for the transformational leadership style, a situational type of leadership which focuses on relationships and motivation, rather than the micro-management of processes and projects. A developmental plan is created,
documenting the specific steps needed in order for an individual to train in the ways of transformational leadership, capitalizing upon his or her unique strengths and weaknesses, to eventually provide
immense value to an organization as an effective leader capable of motivating and elevating followers as well as carrying out task-oriented operations. Paper In the twenty-first century,
organizations place a high level of value on resources which can grant the organization a meaningful competitive advantage. Technologies and processes which used to grant competitive advantage have now become
