1997, all quoted in Miller, 2000). This leads to a company being able to promote itself and then to guide the direction it travels in without the preconceived constructed constraints
(Miller, 2000). However, it is also a difficult task, and creatively is not always encouraged in terms of business development when it comes to lessons in collage and university, where
it is facts and analysis that are emphasised. Moreover, when we consider creativity, we also need to remember that the role of a creative idea has to fit in with
the logical needs, and a hindsight opinion will be that the idea is logical, otherwise we would not be able to see the application of the idea. Therefore, factual information
and analysis is also needed within the creativity process (Johar, 2001). The challenge is to ensure that these factors support rather than constrain the ideas that are created, and their
subsequent development (Johar, 2001). This paper will consider the ways in which creative thinking may be stimulated and created in a commercial environment where there are both long term
and shot term needs. II. Methodology This paper has been written with reference to established ideas on creativity, from the use of multiple intelligence theory of Gardner,
to the paradigm of Sherlock Holmes that a[pears to lack creatively, but can still be used to engender and apply the necessary ideas required for creativity. In considering these
