able to provide many advantages and when implemented with the correct goals and designed to meet those goals may also be able to provide a competitive advantage. The system to
be designed needs to accommodate five separate fitness centres each of which have in the region of 650 members. In addition to this there are also 30 staff at each
site. The design of the system needs to take place in several stages, the first is define what the system will be used for and how it is to be
aligned with company goals and then to consider who will be involved in the project. 1.1 Definition of the system The system required needs to be suitable to be used
by both members of staff and the members of the public. There are two main areas of functionality requited. The first is for use by the staff to keep track
of the different sporting events that take place at each fitness centre. This will mean the system needs to be able to deal with scheduling and resource planning and will
also need to keep tack of results, such as leagues or matches where there are a series of events and be able to display up to date information in real
time when results are entered as well as displaying historical information. This should also be capable of then moving the data forwards so that the next math or stage may
