college-educated parents, who are in their early twenties. Her mother reports that her pregnancy was uneventful and the delivery was normal. Her growth, health and physical development have been good.
Linda also has four living grandparents who visit the family every few months and dote on their grandchild, as well as miscellaneous aunts, uncle and cousins. However, no one in
the extended family lives close by so interaction is not frequent. The primary influences on Linda, her behavior and development, are her parents. Linda is a petite little girl,
with average height for her age and normal weight. She has shoulder-length blond hair, fair skin and blue eyes. In her pretend play, she will move as if dancing with
an imaginary prince. Having seen a production of the ballet, specifically Tchaikovskys Nutcracker Suite, which her grandmother took her to see last Christmas, she will also twirl and attempt ballet-like
movements while listening to this music on the cassette player in her room. These movements are graceful and show good muscle tone and agility for her age and developmental level.
