Research has clearly illustrated the interwoven association between appropriate food choices and mental illness; the extent to which depression is a consequence poor nutrition is both grand and far-reaching. Babies who fail to thrive from poor nutritional choices during their developmental period are prone to infant depression; adolescents pose a particularly close relationship to criminal activity when their diet lacks sustenance; and mature adults experience greater incidence of dementia because of deficiencies attributable to an inadequate diet.
