has changed through the ages, early example ma be seen with the way that ships were built and used as trading took place there was a transfer of knowledge regarding
ship building as well as navigation, mainly from the east to the western nations. As trade took place it disseminated information that in turn supported more trade (Mintzberg et al,
2008). The way that trade took place was constrained by technology limited transportation and communication, but as this has improved, starting in the nineteenth century with the telegraph and the
building of rail roads and then into the twentieth century with the telephone, fax and internet as well as transportation that is not only faster, such as large ships, road
transport and airliners, there has also been technology developed that can control environments within which goods are transporting, Whereas the past in may not have been possible for fruit to
be transported thousands of miles to areas it was out of season, this has now become the norm in many developed countries. These demonstrate the way that technology is a
