The issue at hand entails rescinding a policy that has heretofore allowed employees to take advances upon their paychecks, in effect giving them money before
it is earned. While it may be surmised that a certain number of people would respect this exceptional arrangement without abusing it, another sector - as is true in
this particular situation - does not value such leniency and thereby takes advantage. Applying Guys (1990) decision-making model to these circumstances finds the student has addressed all eight points of
the paradigm. She has effectively defined the problem as the abuse of a limited favor bestowed upon employees who need money prior to the actual pay period. Isolating
