Dan Browns "Deception Point" can be contended to be a fictionalized window into very real issues being confronted
in American politics. The novels plot is constructed around a presidential election. It features players ranging from the incumbent President, to his rival, to the various special interest
groups that dominate the American political landscape. With "Deception Point" author Dan Brown has once again met up to his longstanding reputation as
the producer of top notch suspense thrillers. The message Brown is delivering, however, in this particular book is not just one based solely in his imagination. Indeed, "Deception
Point" is almost too believable to be considered purely fiction when one considers the many parallels that exist between it and real life America.
Brown takes us from the bustling capital of Washington DC to the remote glacier above the Artic Circle to flesh out his plot of a massive government deception that,
if exposed, could spell the end of the Presidential incumbents term in office. The message that Brown is sending with "Deception Point", however, isnt limited to the message that
our government is capable of deceiving the American people but that certain factions of those American people are not below taking any steps they deem necessary in meeting their own
economic and political goals. "Deception Point" is a fictionalized window into the world of real-time American politics. Into it we have exposure
