European Community yet its definition is not universally agreed upon. The principle of subsidiarity is that discussions taking place in the central authority within the EEC should have a subsidiary
function, performing only those tasks which could not be better performed at a more immediate or lower level. This principle is seen as a core one, due to its duty
to allow as much as possible in the rules and directives to be devised and implemented at as local a level as possible.
The principle of subsidiarity originates in natural laws. Unlike many principles it does not have any of its origins in case law, nor has case law developed the principle
in any way. Subsidiarity in the European Community treaty owes is origins in the treaty on European Union (Kent, 1996). This means the laws that are enacted in each
country in relationship to the directives of the EU, and as a result each country may have different laws Weatherill and Beaumont, 2000).
