Phillips Mahoney in the September 1992 issue of Computer Graphics World, the Flight Research Laboratory has come up with a valuable computer simulation program that "uses sophisticated graphics technology to
simulate accident scenarios, expediting the research into the evolution of an event" (Mahoney 1992, 60). This type of information is graphed using the transfer of the actual raw data
from the black box into a computer designed simulation graph that shows the potential flight path and activities that took place up to and during the time of the crash
of the flight. It is in this way that accident investigators are able to determine in what order things began to happen which can also help them learn what
part of the plane was faulty, or if it was pilot error or another problem that caused the plane to crash. The black boxes actually make up a
group of things such as the "cockpit voice recorders, solid-state digital and analog flight data recorders, air traffic control tapes, and videotapes" (Mahoney 1992, 60). A somewhat common problem
at the time of this article was that if this information received trauma due to fire or other results of the crash, the graphs were pieced together simply using technology
that was known in the field of aircraft flight. But now, ten years later, there is special software available that is "programmed to analyze the data, to detect aberrations
in engineering parameters (altitude, direction, and so forth), and to compensate for gaps" (Mahoney 1992, 60). #2 - PERFECT COMPETITION Will Heath, in the 1999 issue of the
Southern Economic Journal, wrote an article entitled Perfect Competition and the Transformation of Economics. The graph accompanying this article represents whether to increase output in a monopoly. By
