of Catholicism. Indeed, there seems to be a fine line between the idea of the cult and religion. At the same time, while many so called cults that are based
in Eastern philosophy or Christianity are considered "dangerous," the true dangerous cults, with their human sacrifices and ritual abuse, are the ones to watch out for. While some people who
embrace a mainstream view of religion believe that other ideas are spiritually dangerous, the secular world recognizes mortal danger when it sees it. The concept of the dangerous cult
is not easily defined. It is like the definition of pornography where it is never truly specifically outlined, but as one judge put it, he knows it when he sees
it. Similarly, when one sees a dangerous cult-people committing suicide, people murdering, people abusing animals-he or she knows it. Moelleur (2005) reports on a book that defines Satanism along with
a host of other cultish realms like Scientology and psychedelic spirituality as religion. Further, dangerous cults are often aligned with Satan, and as the Supreme Court sees it, Satanism is
a religion ("High Court," 2005). It does appear that one mans cult is anothers religion, but some of these cults or religions are dangerous. What are the dangerous cults that
