similar to finding a needle in a haystack. The Odyssey, written by poet Homer in Ancient Greece, is an epic poem that blends fantastic stories of Greek gods with heroic
antics of humans on earth in an incredible tale of what can be considered epic proportions. Don Quixote, written in the 17th century by Miguel de Cervantes, delves into the
story of a self-proclaimed knight in shining armor and his descent into madness. Although he experiences adventures, they are all the result of his poor mind. So the question arises,
what on earth could the two heroes of these stories, Don Quixote and Odysseus have in common with one another? The answer
to the above question is that, delving into the actual characters of both Quixote and Odysseus, one can find similarities. The purpose of this paper, therefore, is to find the
similarities and to compare the two literary figures that are both centuries and countries apart. When the characters are focused on deeply enough, interesting comparisons between their stories do arise.
