of data is required, sometimes that conversation can be a little long-winded. The difficulty in this day and age, however, is ensuring
that the results of that conversation end up producing the right data for the right person. In other words, securing the data.
Data security has been a huge issue, especially with the advent of the World Wide Web and the trading of personal and monetary information online. Users are scrambling to ensure
that their database systems are secure from hackers, viruses and even unauthorized users. In many cases, software can provide an effective guard
for the systems. But sometimes, the database systems themselves, by their very nature, have their own security safeguards. In this paper, well
examine three different types of database systems -- relational database management system; the object-oriented database system and the object-relational database management system. Well compare and contrast these three systems and
