This is evidenced when picking up a magazine, journal, or newspaper today. As a citizen that is interested in current events, I have closely
followed the gun control issue. This is not the only reason I have followed this topic, however. I have been following it to attempt to understand what is
going on in our nation, why society has been so divided over the issue, and what can be done about it. Gun control
seems to stay in the news. It is in any magazine, journal, or newspaper one chooses to read. One of the reasons that gun control is in the
news is that the presidential and other candidates want their potential electors to know their stance on this issue that is important to the welfare and safety of the nation.
Congress is the supreme legislative body of the land. It is made up of Republicans and Democrats. In January 2000,
the members of Congress returned to work. When they did, there were leftover issues on their agenda. One of these issues was that of gun control. According
