terms of the way in which it manifests, in order to identify the strengths, and the potential areas of improvement. When looking at culture we are looking at an intrinsic
part of an organisation. It is the way in which it operates on an interpersonal level. Just as when travelling the world cultural differences can be seen between the diverse
countries characteristics the same is true of companies and organisations. The interpretation of it may vary from person to person and organisation to organisation, however, when entering an organisation it
is often possible to identify aspects of its procedures which are cultural. It may be a difficult for McDonalds is very task orientated; there are a high number of part-time
employees and function of the company to supply fast food requires different employees to work together as part of a team, working using scientific management methods (Huczyniski and Buchanan, 2003).
The tasks of them broken down into their component parts, with individuals performing different parts of that task; one team member may cook the meat for a hamburger, another may
toast the buns, a third person puts condiments onto the buns, another will wrap the hamburger up ready for sale. This is
a process, rather than a culture. However, the culture is seen in the way that the actions undertaken; there is usually a high level of effective teamwork, and to make
