The personal values section reveals how strongly we are influenced by our beliefs; the organizational values section discusses the way in which managers can intensify the level of decision making; the cultural value section discusses the way in which two broad cultural classes, individualist and collectivist, inform the decision-making process; and finally the section on ethical dilemmas points out why they are so difficult to solve. Personal Values We live our lives and make our future depending "on what we believe has value" (Value decision making). What we do with our time, our money and our lives are "all directly influenced by our capacity to make clear, balanced and good value decisions" (Value decision making). The problem is that its often difficult to recognize how our values are shaping our lives, or even what it is that we value (Value decision making). People often say things like "I love my family more than anything" and then work such long hours that they hardly see them (Value decision making). Or a company may claim that its employees are its most important asset, or that it is devoted to its customers, and then adopt policies that "focus on profits or productivity" and hurt employees and put customers second (Value decision making).
