learning and thinking creatively in order to imagine "answers to an unanswered questions and testing them intellectually" (Harding, 2010, p. 51). Hardings article is well written and inspiring, but
it is more an editorial than a "how-to" instruction piece. In other words, she is very persuasive in convincing her readers that society needs "creative thinking and behaving leaders," she
does not provide precise instructions about how to go about accomplishing this task (Harding, 2010, p. 52). Rather than provide this, she refers readers to Gary A. Daviss 1983 book
Creativity is Forever. There are some general instructions, such as "adapting courses, labs, or rehearsals, in the case of music, to provide more time for student reflection and explanation" (Harding,
2010, p. 52-53). Having outlined recommendations for teaching students creative leadership, Harding argues that the next step is to teach students the "principles of behaving creatively," and to accomplish this
task she outlines four recommendations, which address teacher preparation; evaluation; research; and policy (Harding, 2010, p. 53). Hardings thoughts on leadership and creativity are well reasoned and persuasive. Despite
the lack of direct instruction on how to go about accomplishing these goals in the classroom, she effectively convinces her readers that this approach to learning and instruction is needed
in contemporary society. In some ways, Harding over-simplifies what it will require to achieve the goals she writes about, but overall it is an inspirational article that is likely to
