of Mickey and Mallory, ages 24 and 17, two lovers-turned-mass murderers who left a trail of blood and a steady stream of fervent admirers in their twisted path. According to
the classical school of criminology, people exercise free will, and are motivated by pleasure-seeking or hedonistic impulses, which can result in criminal acts (Classical and Positivist Schools of Criminology).
The positivists have sought to modify the classical approach by securing scientific facts (determinism) to support these claims (Classical and Positivist Schools of Criminology). Criminological positivism maintains that crime
