crime groups are associated with certain ethnic backgrounds so the theory is relevant to a number of groups (Mallory, 2007). That said, Alien Conspiracy Theory does not explain everything. Mallory
(2007) points out the following: "Certainly, while this theory has some merit, it falls short of explaining the rise of other groups, such as outlaw motorcycle groups and the rise
of black organized crime groups" (34). On some level, one might associate Alien Conspiracy Theory with biological theories, such as those
that would come from Cesare Lombroso. One might also suggest that this theory to an extent explains the function of crime in society. In this sense, crime functions to cement
the ties of an ethnic group. By embracing a similar thought pattern, and engaging in the new land in a similar fashion, upward mobility is possible. Although culture plays a
large role in Alien Conspiracy Theory, there is the idea that certain types of people are more likely to commit crime. The difference between Alien Conspiracy Theory and ethnic succession
theories is that the former relies on physical and biological factors, whereas the latter is attached to social factors. Bell is
a theorist who has been associated with the queer ladder of mobility theory to explain organized crime as a way of finding power and wealth through various means like gambling
