such in the play Antigone he is now the leader of the people. As would be expected there are bound to be changes that took place in his character, yet
also elements of his character that remain the same. The following paper compares and contrasts the character in the two plays, discussing his role separately and then combined as it
applies to the plays, (Thesis:) as they demonstrate the natural changes that would occur to a man who went from a subject to King. Creon in Oedipus the
King As mentioned, in this particular play Creon works for the king and his job is primarily to seek the truth about what happened to the previous King at Oedipus
