delete them, and possible add your own. Introduction Celebrating Black History was really the "brain child" of Carter Woodson (1875 - 1950), back in 1926. At that time
Woodson envisioned a week to commemorate and remember those who have struggled, and walked ahead of us in history. We should feel really good about the progress we have
made with this event. In fact, we must just about be ready to dance our way along history now, since we have worked our way up to a whole
thirty days, from seven ! I just hope that I am still here when we celebrate "Black History Quarter." This speech has been developed in small
segments, or quotes from black people in history - that was your idea and a good one. It will probably be longer in written form than you need, but
