So many laws are attacked in one court case or another, and amendments made to laws after some court cases. And, then there are the individual state laws as they
involve court hearings. This simple illustration shows that law is not a solid reality without room for amendment and development and interpretation. This is something people need to perhaps keep
in mind when examining something like a court martial, the militarys realm of law concerning the military itself. This is the subject of the film A Few Good Men. It
is a story that presents a hypothetical court martial and in this story one can see some of the real elements of the court martial. The following paper briefly summarizes
the movie and then discusses the court martial system seen in the film. A Few Good Men: Summary In this film there is the defense and the prosecution
concerning the case of two men accused of murdering a fellow soldier. The defense lawyer, Kaffee, is a young and inexperienced lawyer and seems known for quick decisions and plea
bargaining, which the prosecution is hoping will be the way this case goes. The two men, Downey and Dawson, are accused of murdering Santiago. Santiago is not a man that
most people like and he ultimately seems to be nothing more than a complainer, and less than a perfect military individual in relationship to following orders and living as Marines
are expected. Santiago, however, is just a man who wants to be transferred to a different place because he is really uncomfortable with the situation where he is. He
approaches officials and even offers to rat on someone in order to get his way. However, the leading man in the troop, Jessup, is a man who is looking at
