of the manner in which Nigerian religious values influenced their social and individual behavior in relation to the change that occurred in family, law enforcement, the court system, religion and
government prior to and after the intrusion of European missionaries in Africa. One can assert that humanity has been striving to achieve humanistic status ever since the beginning of
time. In its advocacy of deriving the goals of life from human need and interest rather than from the theological or ideological abstractions, the concept of humanism as it
relates to African aspirations during the intrusion of European missionaries would have forever be an evolving entity. Perhaps these particular peoples were not ready to be free of what
were deemed as religious constraints to which they so readily adhered. Perhaps the Europeans believed that it was not necessary for the villages of Africa to secure their heritage
by way of political, governmental and familial implications. The fact is this: What existed before the uninvited European visitors planted their foreign feet upon Africas ground was never the
same once colonization occurred. For nearly as long as man has existed, racism has been driving a wedge between the Caucasian race and all other ethnicities. Somewhere back in
the beginning of civilization and continuing throughout the European colonization, an unwritten law came into effect that proclaimed the white race as one that was better than all others, much
