and expressive positions. They are clearly inspired by different things in life. All designers possess different desires and focuses as it applies to their fashion presentations, and these two men
are no exception. The following paper examines the two, comparing and contrasting their fall 2009 collections. Contrast and Comparison in Fashion: McQueen and Miyake One of the things
that the two designers have in common is that they design for both the sexes. They are designers of mens and womens clothing. But, their style for men is a
bit different in the latest collection. For example, Miyakes work is very natural, seemingly working from inspiration that comes from nature. His clothing is long and lean, but also loose
and very casual and natural. McQueens work seems far more fitted, tops and bottoms, and geared for men who are perhaps thin in the first place. His mens clothing is
also seemingly very youthful while Miyakes offers a style that can be worn by men of any age in most cases. In addition, Miyakes clothing is often darker in his
mens line than that of McQueens whose work is more tan and soft muted colors. In relationship to their womens clothing Miyakes work seems very reflective of his mens
line, providing long and lean silhouettes with loose and uncomplicated lines. One could well envision his men and women standing together as a cohesive unit, playing off one another in
a very simple, yet elegant and sophisticated manner. With McQueens women he truly goes bold, although apparently not as bold as he has in the past. His designs for women
