a contract: If a contract is to be legal and binding, certain elements "must be included and agreed to by all parties involved (Elements of a contract, 2008). If one
or more of these provisions is left out, the contract could be held null and void in a court of law, leaving the parties without recourse in the event of
a dispute. The most important elements of a binding contract are as follows (there are five elements listed by this source, others have four): first, all parties must be in
agreement "for the contract to be legal and binding" (Elements of a contract, 2008). No matter what the actual specifications of the contract entail, all parties must sign; their signatures
"show the partys willingness to entire into the contract and thus, his or her agreement" (Elements of a contract, 2008). While courts do sometimes recognize verbal contracts, it has
a better chance of being upheld if the contract is in writing (Elements of a contract, 2008). This is because "a written and signed contract is proof of the partys
agreement, whereas a verbal contract can be easily denied and disputed in court" (Elements of a contract, 2008). If a contract refers to a number of parties but their signatures
are not on the contract, it will "most likely be considered void in a court of law" (Elements of a contract, 2008). The next element in a contract is an
"exchange of goods or services" (Elements of a contract, 2008). One party provides something to the second for some kind of consideration, for example, "if you sign a contract with
