to China. In China the construction industry is an important industry. In most recent years there has been a marked increase in the level of expenditure on real estate
development. If we look at the patterns of the industry in the long term this may give us a trend on which is useful when looking to enter the market.
Figures have only been kept for real estate development as a separate segment of construction from 1986 (You-Jie and Fox, 2001). However, looking at the figures there have only been
