Our religious beliefs, however, sometimes have the potential to impact the lives of others in quite unpredictable ways. Consider, for example, a case where a religious choice resulted
in someones death and someone else was perceived as playing a role in that death. The outcome could be catastrophic if the second individual was actually committed of murder
when in reality it was the choice made by the deceased individual that determined whether or not they would die. On the other hand, if the perpetrator of the
incident was in fact guilty then he should be convicted and sentenced accordingly. To illustrate the scenario outlined above consider what might occur
if a drunken driver ran over a woman on his way home from a bar one dark night in California. The woman (Mary Jones), obviously, is a victim in
this case. She was innocently standing beside the road when the drunk driver approached and, ultimately, ran her down. To make the case more interesting, however, the woman
was a Jehovas Witness, a religious denomination that does not believe in blood transfusions. The woman actually lived for a short period after the impact with the car.
