a result, many species are going extinct. This paper considers the status of bears, what their status is, and what has to be done to conserve them. Discussion The first
step in tackling this discussion was to look at the Endangered Species List itself-or at least try to do so. The list is maintained by the International Union for Conservation
of Nature and Natural Resources (ICUN), usually referred to as the World Conservation Union; it is headquartered in Gland, Switzerland. It publishes the "Red List," which is the endangered species

bear (including the grizzly) and the American black bear. Of the three American bears on the list, only the Polar bear is truly endangered-at least at this time. Finding journal
