often simply evolutions due to a range of factors. In many ways the organisation that operate within the commercial environment may be seen as social systems, they are made up
of individuals that interact, and the organisations themselves interact with the wider environment. They may be seen as complex systems that are continually changing, adapting and rearranging, with the systems
creating meanings and the changes altering and adapting those meanings (Buckley, 1967). Where there are organisation these organisations are likely to evolve spontaneously as well as see new organisations
emerge, and as such organisations may be seen as complex adaptive systems themselves, just as environmental ecosystems and even planets may be seen as complex adaptive systems in the large
natural world. If we view an organisation in this way we can start to see how complex adaptive systems theory will overlap with many other ideas and theories, including
those theories of creativity, leadership and entrepreneurship. If we consider the existing organisation, there is the need of the organisation to grow in response to its environment, the way this
takes place will be the result of the leadership and also the creativity of the managing team. Leadership plays an important way role in the company itself as the system,
but also may also change the commercial environment which will impact on other firms (Jenner and Montuori, 2000). Creativity may help a company evolve in a new way, and if
we remember that complex adaptive systems cannot be controlled using traditional management techniques we may see the need for creativity and also entrepreneurship to emerge to cope with this environment.
