in my life. However, each woman is very different. The following discussion of friendship contrasts and compares these two women and the nature of each relationship. Sandy is sophisticated. I am not sure what her natural hair color is as shes colored it either blond or red the entire time I have known her. Right now, she is a redhead. Slender, she prizes dressing well and is oriented towards her career. She is a college professor in design and graphic arts and enjoys her work, as she guides the next generation of commercial artists toward their careers. Judy has a little more weight on her bones than Sandy and, as she is a stay-at-home Mom, her wardrobe is more casual and, like her, laid-back. Sandy is a liberal Democrat-sort of person who is also Roman Catholic. Judy is a conservative Republican-sort of person who is a Southern Baptist. Sandy fixes gourmet meals from recipes provided by world-famous chefs in trendy magazines. Judy, likewise, is a fabulous cook, but she does not usually consult recipes and her meals are generally straight country-style Southern cooking. However, while they are very different, my friends are also have similarities. Each of these women possess a terrific, slightly eccentric sense of humor that sees the fun side of life and appreciates the foibles of human behavior. They each work extremely hard, Judy for her family and three sons and Sandy, who is childless, on behalf of her students. Judys house is a Mecca for every child and teen living in our neighborhood. When she cooks homemade sausage, which she buys when she visits her rural North Carolina roots, she throws open her door and lets the aroma waft through the neighborhood.
