to resolve disciplinary problems or academic problems. In addition to the communication nuances that must be kept in mind, teachers must be constantly vigilant in observing their Code of
Conduct in regard to guarding against dual relationships and other problems that might hamper the educational goal. Irmsher (1997) observes that, outside of
the time that they are sleeping, seventy percent of a leaders time is spent communicating. One of the best means of facilitating this communication is by learning to listen
rather than constantly interjecting ones own opinion (Irmsher, 1997). This is true whether one is instructing or attempting to work out the various problems that arise in the educational
environment. It is incredibly important to ask questions and to provide the right feedback as well (Irmsher, 1997). By describing (not interpreting) the point of focus and relating
recent events to illustrate that point teachers can help coworkers, parents, and students alike understand (Irmsher, 1997). Feedback isnt given for the purpose of forcing change but rather for
the purpose of edification. Positive feedback is something that should not be forgotten. If a teacher always focuses on negative feedback those they are communicating with will obviously
become defensive. On the other hand, positive feedback rewards a student for good behavior and performance. When conversing with either coworkers (even
