an otherwise reasonable verdict. That is what happened in the Commonwealth vs. Tracy L. Prashaw case. The facts of the case state that on December 26, 1999, a fire arose
and after it was put out, and a full investigation executed, investigators noticed marijuana roaches and a shotgun in the home ("Commonwealth," 2004). The home was occupied by a husband
and wife, but the wife had not been home for days due to an altercation she experienced with her husband (2004). Although she was absent, the husband was in the
home when the fire broke out and also during the investigation that followed (2004). The police applied for a warrant to search the house based on what was found during
the initial search (2004). Thus, at the point that the warrant was requested, the defendant had not been home for some time. After the investigation began, the defendant appeared
but was told not to enter her home; she did anyway and she did so with an unknown man ("Commonwealth," 2004). The police "cordoned off" the home while waiting
for the warrant (2004). Because of this, she was arrested for breaking into the home; also, during the time, a pipe that had cocaine residue was confiscated (2004). It
was found in her pocket, and she was arrested (2004). Another warrant was then issued for her automobile and in there were a variety of things from drug paraphernalia to
sexually explicit photographs (2004) . The photographs were used as evidence. It took center stage as it was argued that they might be prejudicial, or cause the jury to
