the environment as they bring us products we want or need. We are a society consumed by desire when it comes to all sorts of products and as such most
people do not care where a product comes from as long as it fits our desires and is affordable. However, such commerce is bad for everyone involved. It is what
has led many companies to seek overseas labor which is cheap and does nothing but further promote consumerism without conscience. Such approaches only diminishes the power of a culture, making
all cultures commercialize it seems. The following paper examines one company, Aveda, and argues that it is a company that embraces the cultures, works towards a very powerful relationship that
encourages cultural diversity, while benefiting the economy of all cultures involved. Aveda In looking at Aveda we note that it is a company whose products are natural and
are aimed at the industry of beauty, skin care, makeup, and other products that are directed for external use. They are a company who claim, in their mission statement, that
they "care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society. At Aveda we strive to set an
example for environmental leadership and responsibility, not just in the world of beauty, but around the world" (Aveda [1], 2004). From this mission statement, which may or may not
be accurate, we envision a company that does what it can to benefit the company, which of course is expected from an American company, as well as the environment and
