not to go, or cannot afford to go, they are dubbed losers. They will be making minimum wage, or even if they get decent paying jobs, they are seen as
being on a dead end course. Not only are they labeled and thrown away as candidates for good, entry-level jobs in business, they are stigmatized also in the larger society.
Their writing gives them away. They had not endured paper-writing activity nor had they had to sit through lectures on modern art or read Platos works. Indeed, those who go
to college are more educated than those who do not. That is true to some extent. At the same time, there are well known, intelligent people who never finished school
like Rush Limbaugh and Bill Gates. Of course, as entrepreneurs, they did not have to go to school. They were able to amass millions of dollars on sheer talent and
creativity, but they are both incredibility intelligent and articulate. While college may be seen as a prerequisite today in business--mostly to weed out candidates--it does not seem to be a
fair requirement. That said, it is something that should be mandatory in order to level the playing field. By making sure everyone gets a college education, all new entrants into
the business world will have had an equal education, at least to an extent. While there will always be an upper class with more than average educations, the competing forces
at the middle and low income levels may be to some extent ameliorated. Things will be fairer. Also, some evidence supports the assumption that college is vital and helpful throughout
