with every human being in relation to the average time it takes, for example, toddlers to walk, children to read and youth to carve out a niche inside a particular
group of peers, however, even these aspects are guided to a certain degree by the cognitive awareness inherent to how the individual interacts with his or her world. Piagets
realized this inextricable connection as it relates to the human developmental process through his Cognitive Development Theory, pointing out how people must transition out of one stage before being able
to successfully enter the next; even when this transition is made, however, residual issues left unresolved carry forward and must be rectified so as not to bring an existing burden
into subsequent stages. Over all, Piagets cognitive theory provides a comprehensive look at how the human being is hard-wired for development from the moment of birth, inasmuch as many
do not realize the myriad cognitive components that comprise personal development, often incorrectly surmising that transition from infancy to childhood and childhood to adolescence are all a matter of happenstance.
