However, on the other hand, just because scientist can clone does not mean they should for there are many ethical and moral issues related to the notion of cloning. The
following paper examines the pros and cons of cloning and then argues against cloning. Cloning: Pros and Cons In regards to
simple issues and arguments for cloning it is first noted that many argue a person should be able to clone a lost loved one (The pros and cons of human
reproductive cloning, 2006). This includes pets as well as humans. If that same individual could be created in the lab through cloning the individuals would not have to suffer as
much. There is also the argument of cloning individuals who were famous and incredibly genius for they could provide more intelligence for the world and help the world overcome problems
(The pros and cons of human reproductive cloning, 2006). In addition there is the notion of cloning people so that there are exact matches for tissue needs and organ needs
as well as cloning to help the infertile reproduce. There is the argument that through cloning animals for consumption great health gains can be had for humans. "Much current attention
is now focused on altering the genes of cows or sheep so that they will produce large amounts of pharmaceutically important proteins in their milk, such as insulin or factor
VIII to treat hemophilia" (Robertson, 2006). Those against cloning argue, from a religious standpoint, that people cannot and should not play God.
