History The Civil Rights Movement that we all recognize as the most significant was the movement of the 1950s and 1960s. But, this was not the beginning of the
Civil Rights Movement. We can perhaps, go back into history and recognize slavery, in all portions of the world, as they involved Natives, and see the beginnings of the civil
Rights Movement. And, here in the United States Civil Rights Movements were growing and becoming powerful since the times of slavery, with the freeing of the slaves being perhaps the
most significant Civil Rights Movement of our times. Aside from that complex history of struggling for civil rights, we understand that the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and
1960s was the most influential in terms of our current history. The country had existed in a condition where African Americans had been free, and actual citizens, for many decades.
Yet, despite this reality, African Americans were still not allowed the same freedoms and same rights as the average white American. This condition had been building for many many years,
