consists of a technique or approach to art that involves creating art outside that is very different from anything else anyone has done. The following paper examines Christos life and
works. Christo Christo was born in 1935 in Gabrovo, Bulgaria (Christo, 2007). He has worked in many different areas of the
world such as "St. Louis, MO, United States, Sydney, Australia, Denver, CO, United States, Berlin, Germany; Paris, France" (Christo, 2007). In relationship to his younger days, and his education, it
is noted that "Between 1953 and 1956 he studied painting, sculpture and stage design at the Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia" (The-Artists.org., 2007). During 1956 he lived for a
very short time in Praque and then in 1957 he began to study sculpture under the guidance of Fritz Wotruba who taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna
(The-Artists.org., 2007). The next year he settled down in Paris and very briefly involved himself with what were called the Nouveau Realists
while also beginning to develop his style involving package objects (The-Artists.org., 2007). "His assemblages of oil drums were shown in Cologne in 1961. He exhibited in 1963 at the
Galerie Schmela, D?sseldorf" (The-Artists.org., 2007). Then in 1964 he moved to New York where he began what was called his "store fronts" (The-Artists.org., 2007). These store fronts became quite
popular, catching the attention of many and they were shown at the Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, as well as at the Leo Castelli Gallery, New York (The-Artists.org., 2007). His first
