and contrasting certain elements of Christianity with Buddhism. Christianity is a mainstream religion, whereas Buddhism may be more accurately described as moral framework or philosophy which does not require blind
faith. The concept of divinity may be seen as a key difference reflecting the focus of beliefs. Divinity is the Christian church is associated with God, where God is
the divine; in this sense they are one and the same and divinity is deemed to be the core being and essence of God. The concept of the trinitarianism; God
the Father, Jesus (God the son) and the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost), where the three different persons are a single being (McGrath, 2010). While there may be some controversy
regarding the relationship between the members of the Trinity, there is general agreement that all are divine (McGrath, 2010). The divine is external, to be worshipped and admired. Buddhists
do not worship or even believe in a god, nor do they worship Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama), who himself never made any claims to being divine. However, they may pay reverence
to images of Buddha (Gyatso, 2001). Buddha is seen as a teacher or a guide with Buddhists seeking to improve themselves (Gyatso, 2001). In Christianity followers worship the divine believing
that they can forgive them their sins and save their soul. Buddhists believe in a cycle of life and rebirth, with each life teaching lessons, the path of deliverance in
