through an integrated view of religion, sociology and history. In understanding the central principles of Pazmino, it is valuable to consider the definition of Christian education presented by
the author, and then assess the theological and social implications of his views. In conjunction with these elements, Pazmino demonstrates the necessity for a theological view of education, a
Christian education, which is defined by biblical elements and shaped by a distinct ideological perspective. Definition of Christian Education Pazminos views on Christian education are based in
what can be described as the definition of Christian education. While it is easy to state that Christian education is merely education provided by Christian educators that has a
distinct religious focus, Pazmino would argue that Christian education is much more than that. Pazmino, for example, would argue that Christian education is an educational experience that occurs within
a Christian context, that embraces an educational ideal "patterned upon biblical foundations" and that "provides for a dynamic educational experience" (17). In creating this definition, the author also
suggests that there is a need to consider the biblical foundations noted, including Old and New Testament support for Christian education. Further, Pazmino also argues in the necessity for
