or nation, that seems far too secular and materialistic. The following paper examines two different Christian concerns today. The paper first examines the influences of the media on teenagers and
then examines ministering to non-believers. Media Influences In all honesty, be a teenager a Christian or not, the media is a reality that influences all teenagers in one
way or another. In many ways the media will generally influence teenagers in negative ways. The media, in this examination, involves music, television and the internet. One author notes
how, "Media is an inseparable part of life for most of the teenagers. There are different types of mass media that are inherently a part of the routine life of
teenagers - for example television, computer, mobile phone or a music player" (Manohar 2008). As can be seen, and as is easily understood when looking around, the media is everywhere
and with technology it has become something that is all but inseparable from daily life, especially the daily life of a teenager.
While the media can be positive there are far more negative influences seen in teenagers as a result of media. For example, when considering music, and Christians, a teenager can
listen to Christian music and thus not be influenced by sexual and violent images presented in todays music. But, a teenager is going to hear music all around them and
as such they need to understand that much of the modern day music is not intended to improve their character but rather something to follow trends and make money. Music
